Our story
Big Thompson Kennels began with a chance meeting on a Florida beach in 2012. We stopped to admire a Bulldog, met the couple walking him, and learned they had one puppy left from their litter. We followed them home, met Little Bud, and our Bulldog story began.
Dogs are family
Based in Colorado, we show and raise Bulldogs and share our home with Blue, our Boston Terrier. Our dogs’ health and temperament matter as much to us as their success in the ring. We breed from time to time with the goal of producing sound, well-tempered Bulldogs that meet the breed standard.
A show history we’re proud of
Little Bud led the way for later champions and Grand Champions. Since 2014, our Bulldogs included top-ranked dogs in Colorado and nationally. Both Yasu and Maxwell earned Best in Specialty Show and Group 1 placements; Ellie and Ruger became bred-by champions and won Best Brace in Show together. Our dogs’ accomplishments are featured in our Hall of Fame page.
Today’s dogs include established champions and young dogs beginning their show careers. Each one has a place in our family, whether in the ring or at home.
